Hi, I’m Luke.

A working engineer-leader in Bondi, Sydney. Founder of Ridgeline Studios — an AI-first fractional CTO practice for seed to Series A founders.

I’m not arrived; I’m currently trying to keep momentum. Process writing only works if it admits failure, course-corrects in public, and isn’t selling certainty. Productivity isn’t the goal — being happy is. The productivity stuff is scaffolding for the rest, not the point.

What I write about

Three buckets, all about process — how to actually do things well, at work and outside it.

Engineering practice and leadership — platform, SRE, software, using AI to ship, building teams, leading under pressure. The technical-vs-people seam, because in every job I’ve had since FL0 that’s been the actual job.
Habits and operating system — routines, productivity, learning, execution. Meditation, stoicism, alcohol-free, relationships, books. The scaffolding under the work, not a separate “personal” bucket.
Whatever craft I’m inside right now — pottery, cooking, surfing, music, photography, coffee, boardgames. Done for joy, not for content.

What I’m not writing about: consulting sales, how-I-got-clients content, or gadget reviews divorced from a thing I’m actually doing with them.
