Hi, I’m Luke.
A working engineer-leader in Bondi, Sydney. Founder of Ridgeline Studios.
I haven’t hit my goals, nor can I speak from a place of success, but I always try to keep momentum. I write about what I’m doing. I admit my failures openly. I’m not selling certainty. I don’t think the goal in life is to be productive. It’s to be happy. I just find that I’m happy when I’m working diligently towards something good.
What I write about
I write about process and how to do things well. This is both at work and in my personal life.
The three main places this tends to show up for me are:
- Engineering practice and leadership: all things Platform Engineering, SRE, AI, building teams, leading under pressure, how to slot between technical and people work so that you can get things shipped.
- Habits and my operating system: my routine, productivity, what I’m learning, how I’m executing, being alcohol-free, books I read.
- Whatever craft I’m working on right now: pottery, cooking, surfing, music production, photography, coffee, boardgames. Things that just bring me joy!
